We are seeking an experienced teaching assistant for one of the warm and inviting schools in Bristol to start working there as soon as possible on a full-time basis. The school has excellent facilities and is conveniently located near public transportation.

Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across a range of subjects.

  • Provide tailored support to students with varying learning needs, including those with special educational needs (SEN).

  • Assist in classroom management, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.

  • Help students with their work, offering encouragement and guidance where needed.

  • Participate in the planning and preparation of lessons and activities.

  • Work closely with the SENCO and other staff members to implement individual education plans (IEPs).

  • Monitor and assess students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents when necessary.

  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children in an educational or care setting (desirable but not essential).

  • A passion for education and supporting students' development. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.

  • A relevant qualification (such as CACHE Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) is desirable.

  • Experience working with students with SEN is a plus but not essential.

  • Must have eligibility to work in the UK.

  • Must provide 2 professional references.

  • Must have enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for a new one.
