There are a couple of schools in the Bristol area that we work with who are seeing an increase in SEN pupils within the school.
Within these schools BS10, BS3 and BS13, there are SEN hubs within the school where they are seeking additional Teaching Assistants who are confident with working with ASD and SEMH needs.
The Role
As a successful candidate, you will be working closely with a number of SEND Teaching Assistants with great experience across one room of 4-9 pupils.
The Head Teacher is looking for candidates with embedded knowledge and experience working with SEN children, someone who is flexible, caring and nurturing, someone to provide a safe learning environment for the children to grow and develop.
You will be expected to:

Have high expectations of the pupil you will be working with.

Previous experience working with SEN children.

Have knowledge of ASD and/or SEMH.

Resource creative activities to meet the needs of the pupil.

Communicate closely with the families.
