Team Educate are recruiting for passionate teaching assistants who don’t have qualifications but have a desire to work with children. Schools in Bristol are looking for teaching assistants to support their classrooms on a temporary basis, with the opportunity of extending to permanent for the right candidate.

The role involves working with pupils on a 1 to 1 basis or a small group supporting their learning, encouraging confidence, independence, and positive behaviour.

Responsibilities:- Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational programs and activities for students- Provide support to students with special needs, including those with autism or other learning disabilities- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment- Assist with classroom management and behaviour management strategies- Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the lead teacher and parents/guardians- Assist with maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment

Skills:- Strong ability to educate and work with children, particularly those with special needs- Experience in toddler care or special education is highly desirable- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written- Ability to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents/guardians, and other staff members- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude towards children- Ability to adapt to different learning styles and individual needs of students
