A Primary School in the BS4 area of Bristol is currently looking for 3 Teaching Assistants to join their friendly and supportive team. After joining a new Educational Trust this year, the school provides high quality education for primary aged children, supporting families and the community around them.

Teaching Assistants are a fundamental part of the teaching and learning at this school. They are proud to be a nurturing and inclusive school where they provide excellent education to their pupils with expectations of learning about the skills they need for life.

The Role

With a brand new Head Teacher this Academic Year, this school is keen to make a difference in the lives of young children from the beginning, making sure each child from divers backgrounds has equal opportunities.

This school are looking for Teaching Assistants who have experience working across EYFS, KS1 or KS2. You must have knowledge of the Primary Curriculum to support children with their learning but also support some SEN children too.

You will be expected to communicate continuously with the Class Teacher to develop activities to meet the needs of all pupils across the class, identifying any challenges or additional support that some may require.

You will be expected to:

  • Have experience working with children - ideally in a school setting.

  • Have experience supporting and leading small groups and individuals.

  • Be flexible and use your own initiative when supporting children.

  • Work collaboratively with the Class Teacher and other staff members too.

  • Assess the child’s development and adapt activities to challenge the pupil.
