Project Development Planning (Environmental) Consultant
Bristol (2 days/week in office, flexible remote work, and close collaboration with the London team)
I'm working with a leading, multidisciplinary consultancy that's looking for a Project Development Planning (Environmental) Consultant to join their team in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, or a related field, who enjoys working on diverse and impactful projects.
What you'll be doing:
You'll be involved in a variety of planning and infrastructure projects while collaborating closely with the London team. Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and simplifying technical and non-technical reports for clients
- Preparing Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs), Sustainability Statements, Waste Management Plans, and more
- Conducting research and sourcing data for environmental assessments
- Coordinating internal resources and managing sub-consultant teams for project delivery
- Developing skills in project management, budgeting, and financial oversight
- Contributing to business development and bid preparation efforts
- Working within quality management systems
- Mentoring junior team members while working towards professional chartership
What they're looking for:
- A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Geography, Town Planning, or a similar field (MSc preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams); familiarity with GIS/CAD software is a plus
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- A team player who's organised, with a client-focused mindset
- Full UK driving licence
