Electrical Design Engineer - Laboratory Testing

Up to £45.00 per hour Umbrella / Up to £34.02 per hour PAYE

12 month contract 

3 days a week onsite - clients site is Filton, Bristol.

Role Overview – You will join the Test Centre and will contribute to the development of architectures and specifications for data acquisition and control systems for a new test facility and several new test benches focused on Hydrogen testing. You will join a multi-disciplinary team: Test Means Architecture & Integration.

Responsibilities
• Develop Architecture and design solutions for data acquisition and control systems
• Develop Electrical Component electrical schematics
• Specify Instrumentation for a range of different measurements (Pressure, Flow, Voltage, Current, etc…)
• Produce requirement and specification documentation for data acquisition and control systems

Skill Set
Essential
• Electrical Design Tools (AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, KiCad)
• Understanding of Electrical design principles and Electrical systems
• Understanding of Testing principles
• Experience with electrical architecture design
• Experience with instrumentation, data acquisition and control systems
• Knowledge of avionic data busses (A429, CAN, AFDX)
• Knowledge of avionic hardware interfaces (discretes, analogues)
• Team spirit and agility
