Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, inspect, and perform repairs or preventative maintenance as needed, responding promptly to breakdowns.
- Conduct reactive and planned services across various environments, including offices, commercial, distribution, and industrial premises.
- Perform statutory inspections of assets such as emergency lighting, water temperature checks, fire door inspections and repairs, plumbing repairs, lighting checks, and other minor reactive works.
- Act as an ambassador for the customer, handling complaints and queries professionally.
- Support engineer sub-contractors on-site.
- Provide technical guidance to clients and contract support.
- Carry out minor building fabric repairs.
- Ensure all work complies with agreed specifications and Health & Safety legislation.
- Maintain site documentation.
Ideal Candidate Criteria:
- Right to work in the UK.
- City & Guilds qualification in electrical discipline (18th Edition) preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other IT tools.
- NVQ Level 2 or higher qualification in a building discipline.
- Experience in a similar role, including basic plumbing, carpentry, redecoration tasks, and statutory PPM inspections.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety working practices.
- Familiarity with planned preventative maintenance regimes.
- Experience in completing risk assessments and method statements, and issuing permits to work for hard service tasks.
- Experience with BMS systems.
- Knowledge of maintenance schedules and SFG 20 is desirable.
- Ability to accurately record work on worksheets and computer-based systems.
- Full UK driving license required, as use of a company vehicle may be necessary.
