Recruiting on behalf of our client,New Resource Recruitmentis looking for a talented Design Engineer to join a leading engineering company in Bristol.

Role Overview:

Reporting to the Design Team Lead, you will play a key role in designing and developing power and control circuits, supporting new and existing products, and collaborating with various departments to ensure business success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and support digital and analog power circuits.
  • Research and implement new product designs, considering commercial and technical requirements.
  • Manage the product lifecycle from concept to delivery, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to optimize product design.
  • Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and documentation to ensure high performance and reliability.
  • Provide technical training on new products.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Degree in Power Electronics, Embedded Systems, or related field.
  • Experience in hardware system design and PCB layout (OrCad).
  • Proficiency with electrical test equipment (PSUs, oscilloscopes, signal generators, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical approach to fault finding.
  • Familiarity with Agile management (JIRA) and Microsoft Office.
