Recruiting on behalf of our client,New Resource Recruitmentis looking for a talented Design Engineer to join a leading engineering company in Bristol.
Role Overview:
Reporting to the Design Team Lead, you will play a key role in designing and developing power and control circuits, supporting new and existing products, and collaborating with various departments to ensure business success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and support digital and analog power circuits.
- Research and implement new product designs, considering commercial and technical requirements.
- Manage the product lifecycle from concept to delivery, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to optimize product design.
- Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and documentation to ensure high performance and reliability.
- Provide technical training on new products.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Degree in Power Electronics, Embedded Systems, or related field.
- Experience in hardware system design and PCB layout (OrCad).
- Proficiency with electrical test equipment (PSUs, oscilloscopes, signal generators, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical approach to fault finding.
- Familiarity with Agile management (JIRA) and Microsoft Office.
