Power Platform/Product Specialist - Data

Salary - 50,000 - 60,000 + 28% pension and excellent company benefits

Location: hybrid/Bristol

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Product Specialist to join our team. This role involves supporting, maintaining, and enhancing our Data platform to ensure it aligns with industry best practices and meets the organisation's needs.

The successful candidate will possess a robust understanding of big data and analytics, data engineering, and data design, along with experience in cloud integration and data security.

Working closely with a large data engineering, providing support and guidance for the overall platform.

Key Responsibilities:

The Data Product Specialist will be responsible for optimising and managing our data infrastructure, which at present includes DataBricks, Power Platform and Azure, as well as some legacy data environments, ensuring efficient data processing and real-time analytics capabilities.

This includes experience in data ingestion frameworks, stream processing, and cloud-native data services.

The role would benefit from a strong knowledge of data science, and the use of advanced data engineering tools to implement scalable and robust data solutions.

Security and compliance are paramount; the candidate must be well-versed in data security best practices, compliance requirements, and governance frameworks.

Additionally, the specialist will contribute to the automation of data workflows and CI/CD pipelines, enhancing collaboration and productivity across the organisation.

Technical Skills:

Candidates should have a comprehensive understanding of performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimisation of data platforms within the Microsoft stack.

Familiarity with Azure Administration, Azure DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and experience in maintaining data quality and governance will be useful.

The role also involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including both developers, QA and data engineers, to drive continuous improvement and innovation within our data ecosystem. Therefore good communication skills are required.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies as well as an understanding of ITIL practices will be beneficial.
