An exciting opportunity for a talented Engineer to join our friendly and growing Building Services, Environmental Design and Low Carbon Engineering practice, based in Bristol.

About us

How we work
Once you become a part of our team, you will have the autonomy and responsibility for delivering engineering designs for buildings from concept level to completion, achieving outstanding results. You will be a key part of the team, client facing with management responsibilities. Our organisational structure and friendly team will ensure that you are provided with support from our partners, assistant engineers and your peers.

About the role
• Lead electrical engineer for multiple projects at various stages.
• Leading and supervising the production of drawings in 2D and 3D design using Autocad/Revit.
• Preparation of reports and specifications.
• Engage with design teams and clients during design phase of projects.
• Monitor progress on site, taking a leading role during commissioning and handover.
• Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Supervising graduate and assistant engineers.
• Client management and business development.
• Financial management of projects.
• Opportunities for career progression with potential for a future leadership/partnership role.

About you
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
• CEng - Chartered membership of a professional institution (or be working towards this).
• BEng or MEng degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant subject.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience of designing electrical systems for buildings.
• Knowledge and experience working on sustainable projects and be up to date with emerging technologies such as battery storage, photovoltaics and EV charging design.
• Interest in responding to the climate emergency.
• Excellent communication skills, and ability to support/train junior engineers.
• Able to lead projects with a view to increasing management and leadership responsibilities.
• Be motivated, practically minded, independent, enthusiastic, and personable.
• Competence in software such as Amtech, Autocad, Revit, IES or Dialux.
