A leading nuclear engineering company is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis for some of their most exciting projects in the nuclear space.

This role will be perfect for a well experienced and knowledgeable Senior mechanical engineer who has vast time spent in the highly regulated fields and sectors associated.

The role:
Delivering engineering and technical processes, managing the day ton day requirements of these activities. Working on a multitude of small projects, you will be involved int he cutting-edge design and implementation of the designs.

Key Competencies/Experiences:

  • Review, Produce and approve calculations, analyses, drawings, models, design basis documentation and technical reports as assigned.
  • Assist with the clients requirements and needs
  • Contribute to safety regulations and safe design processes
  • Assess all changes and implications of changes and concession queries
  • Ensure all the design intent and integrity is maintained throughout the design lifecycle
  • Ensure all technical issues are evaluated and communicated to the wider team to ensure problems can be solved accordingly.
  • Provide any required support to the PM and Planning control team
  • Ensure the health and safety is followed at all times
  • Experience in managing the engineering scope for projects from conceptual design to full engineering.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum HNC/HND in Engineering, or equivalent experience.in relevant engineering discipline (demonstrable experience)
  • Chartered (Desired)
  • Vast knowledge in nuclear/defence projects
  • Security Clearance
