The Role:

  • As an Electrician, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality re-wires, repairs, and inspections while ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations. Your duties will include:
  • Electrical installations of 230v and 400v systems.
  • Diagnosing and repairing faults, completing relevant certification.
  • Carrying out ongoing testing and upgrading work.
  • Installing and maintaining energy-saving and carbon-reducing technology.
  • Being available for an optional out-of-hours call-out rota.
  • Managing and recording vehicle stock, tools, and equipment.
  • Using and maintaining allocated mobile devices.
  • Participating in training, one-on-ones, toolbox talks, and appraisals.

What The Electrician Will Need:

  • Proven experience working with electrical systems and H&S legislation
  • City & Guilds 236 (Parts 1 & 2) or equivalent NVQ Level 3 & AM2 certificate
  • Qualification in and working knowledge of BS7671
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Ability to work independently and safely while delivering high standards
  • Strong communication and IT skills
  • A valid and clean driving license
  • Personal values aligned with housing associations and care providers

Desirable:

  • City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing)
  • Knowledge of confidentiality and professional boundary standards
  • Experience in social housing or similar environments
