The Role:
- As an Electrician, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality re-wires, repairs, and inspections while ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations. Your duties will include:
- Electrical installations of 230v and 400v systems.
- Diagnosing and repairing faults, completing relevant certification.
- Carrying out ongoing testing and upgrading work.
- Installing and maintaining energy-saving and carbon-reducing technology.
- Being available for an optional out-of-hours call-out rota.
- Managing and recording vehicle stock, tools, and equipment.
- Using and maintaining allocated mobile devices.
- Participating in training, one-on-ones, toolbox talks, and appraisals.
What The Electrician Will Need:
- Proven experience working with electrical systems and H&S legislation
- City & Guilds 236 (Parts 1 & 2) or equivalent NVQ Level 3 & AM2 certificate
- Qualification in and working knowledge of BS7671
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Ability to work independently and safely while delivering high standards
- Strong communication and IT skills
- A valid and clean driving license
- Personal values aligned with housing associations and care providers
Desirable:
- City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing)
- Knowledge of confidentiality and professional boundary standards
- Experience in social housing or similar environments
