Our client a go-to destination for vehicle and plant repairs and maintenance seeks a Mobile Power Access engineer (MEWPS) to cover their sites in Swindon and Bristol areas. This role involves travel and offers a Company van to get around. Our client is dedicated to delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions to their customers. They offer a salary of £40,000 - £45,000 plus a quarterly bonus.

What Does the Role Entail?

In this role, you will collaborate, organise and carry out routine visits to customer sites for planned compliance inspections. You will be responsible for providing servicing, maintenance, and repairs (SMR) to equipment such as On-Board Power Systems, Swing Lifts, and Access Platforms. Additionally, you will perform service inspections on vehicle ancillary equipment using documents provided through the client's system. Timely maintenance and repairs are crucial to preventing downtime caused by unit failures. You will also manage your supply of consumables and fast-moving parts, with support from your team supervisor.

What Skills Will You Have?

To succeed in this role, you should have IPAF and CAP certification for Static Booms (1B Category), along with a background in mechanical or electrical engineering, which is ideal for the position. This is a great opportunity for candidates looking to transition from the automotive sector. You should also demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining any required professional qualifications. Useful experience may include knowledge of the motor vehicle and automotive sectors, familiarity with 12v/24v power systems, and experience with ancillary equipment such as On-Board Power, Tail Lifts, Swing Lifts, Power Inverters, and MEWPs. Additionally, experience in providing excellent customer service, driving a medium-sized van, and working at remote customer locations would be beneficial.
