Intermediate Electronics Engineer | Bristol | Up to £48K + 5% Annual Bonus

This role supports the design and build of hardware for training products. Best suited to a pragmatic, problem-solving engineer skilled in PCB design, hardware-software integration, and prototyping. You should be comfortable with design processes, documentation, and working with external suppliers.

Responsibilities:

Translate product requirements into integrated hardware and application functionalities.
Collaborate with the Software Team to outline hardware needs and ensure effective integration into products.
Participate in feasibility studies to identify viable development solutions.
Develop and optimise system firmware.
Oversee subcontractor efforts to ensure PCBAs meet specified standards.

Necessary Experience:

Hands-on with ECAD tools like EAGLE, Altium, and OrCad.
Experienced in taking products from concept through to manufacture.
Familiar with EMC certification and skilled in board-level testing and SMT rework.
Comfortable using tools like oscilloscopes, waveform generators, spectrum analysers, and DMMs.
Strong in real-time embedded C, audio electronics, motor control, and power electronics (DC-DC, battery-powered, high/low-power).
