Our client designs and manufactures a range of advanced industrial and scientific equipment for use in global manufacturing industries. We are currently seeking a Senior Software/Electronics Engineer to join a multi-disciplined team working in their Central Bristol R&D lab.

Skills and qualifications sought will include:

- Experience in embedded firmware development, C
- Experience in use of Matlab/Simulink
- Degree qualified in electronics or closely related discipline
- Strong analogue, SMPS and power design skills useful
- Experienced in multi-layer PCB design
- Experience in design for product compliance and regulatory approvals
- Overall product design experience and design for manufacture, DFM
- Excellent communication, report writing and interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities:

- Working with a cross-functional team to progress concepts and prototypes to full manufacture
- Development, verification and validation of software and electronics in accordance with relevant standards
- Support the design and development of test equipment
- Maintain a 'state of the art' knowledge of new and applicable technologies through research and training.
