Marks Sattin have been engaged by a Legal Firm based in Bristol to recruit a Finance Systems Technician on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity to add value to the firms established and growing list of clients. Whilst being technically skilled, this role will also engage with financial side of the business too.

The Finance Systems Technician role will be paying between £25k per annum with hybrid working options (1 days in the office minimum), 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, private medical insurance and a fantastic working environment!

The Finance Systems Technician Role

This role would suit somebody that has a background in Master Data, SSRS and maintenance of the financial data. An opportunity to work with the financial system team and assist in the financial systems, making sure that they run smoothly and efficiently. Progression opportunities are available throughout the tenure at this organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining system processes and master data.
  • Effectively troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Creating internal documents and process guidelines.
  • Providing 2nd line support when issues are escalated.
  • Working closely with the Finance Systems Manager on key financial initiatives.
  • Taking ownership and responsibility of the issue and providing timely resolutions.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Good understanding of financial processes and procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting rules and regulations.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Finance system support / administration experience.
  • SQL & VBA knowledge would be advantageous.
  • Experience with Aderant would be advantageous.
