iO Associates is looking for a Lock Engineering Technician to work with this key UK port, transformed through extensive investment, has developed into a modern logistics hub with a longstanding shipping heritage. Supporting large vessels and offering seamless access to major UK markets via direct motorway and rail links, the port plays a crucial role in regional and national economies. It provides extensive storage and warehousing facilities and is a significant source of employment and economic value for the area.

Required:

  • Have at least 5 years of real-world engineering experience in a reputable field.
  • Digital skills include familiarity with computerised maintenance management systems and a high degree of computer and mobile device literacy.
  • Capacity to execute maintenance and document maintenance feedback while ensuring quality standards are met and maintained.
  • Good knowledge of engineering management processes and systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining the company's safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures, making sure that high engineering standards and practices are met, and ensuring that safe work practices are followed.
  • Making certain that all assigned maintenance (such as PPMs, correctives, installation, improvement, etc.) is carried out in a timely and professional way in accordance with supervisor direction, departmental regulations, training, and safe work practices.
  • Examining technical drawings and OEM manuals.
  • Responding to malfunctions and other emergency situations, diagnosing and conveying suggestions for repairs and remedial measures.
