Role Overview:

As a Security Engineer, you'll take the lead in security operations, conducting thorough security assessments, prioritising remediation actions, and working closely with Product and Operations teams. Your proactive mindset and ability to foster cross-functional relationships will be instrumental in building a security-first culture. This role is with a long-term client of SR2, a UK-based fintech company committed to enhancing transparency and engagement in investment. Key Responsibilities:

Carry out comprehensive security assessments and prioritise remediation findings.

Design and maintain robust application and infrastructure security controls.

Strengthen monitoring to swiftly detect abnormal behaviour.

Implement firewalls to provide additional layers of protection.

Promote security awareness and partner with the training team to develop impactful security training.

Skills and Qualifications:

Strong understanding of system and network security, protocols, and best practices, including ISO27001 and AWS Security Hub.

Hands-on experience with firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus solutions, and data encryption.

Skilled in using risk assessment tools, technologies, and methodologies.

Demonstrated ability to design secure networks, systems, and application architectures.

Proven track record in security engineering with a focus on creating innovative solutions.
