Employee Relations Specialist - 12-Month FTC

Are you a proactive Employee Relations Specialist looking for a dynamic role in a supportive team?

Ashley Kate are pleased to be supporting our global client on an Interim Employee Relations role to be based in their Bristol office on a hybrid basis. Salary £48k - £52k dependant on experience.

They are seeking an experienced professional to provide expert ER, employment law, and change management advice across the business. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on complex ER cases, policy development, and strategic HR projects in a fast-paced environment.

Employee Relations Specialist - About the Role

You will be responsible for leading on all aspects of performance management, disciplinary and grievance procedures, complex sickness and disability cases, and appeals. Conducting high-quality investigations, create detailed reports, and manage any restructuring projects alongside HR colleagues.

Deliver guidance to HR, managers, partners, and senior leaders on ER issues, ensuring best practices and mitigating risks. Develop and deliver training on ER issues to line managers, HR teams, and leadership.

Support the HR policy team in reviewing and updating employment policies, ensuring compliance with UK employment law.

Lead and support HR/ER-related projects to continuously improve employee relations and HR service delivery.

Employee Relations Specialist - About You

  • Proven experience in ER & employment policy, with a strong understanding of UK employment law.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, able to influence senior leaders and provide balanced, commercially sound advice.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring abilities, helping managers and teams handle ER matters effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Well-organised and detail-oriented, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Experience handling international ER matters is a plus but not essential.
