As a Project Manager, you will provide leadership to ensure the effective delivery of activities within the programme, meeting required safety, quality, time, and cost targets. Your role will involve building strong relationships to ensure project success and managing the impacts of the programme on the wider project.
You will be based in the Bristol office, full time for the remainder of 2025 – with the view to move onsite to Hinkley Point early 2026. 
 

Accountabilities:
•    Driving the delivery of contract or package activities to ensure they are safely completed on time, within budget, and meeting business and technical requirements.
•    Developing and implementing strategies and plans aligned with the overall Programme Execution Plan (PEP), outlining how the work will be managed, organised, and executed.
•    Maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders and executing project or programme strategies within the designated contract or package of work.
•    Monitoring and managing schedule progress by tracking milestones, deadlines, and budgets while providing key stakeholders with reports.
•    Anticipating, managing, and resolving issues within the contract or package, identifying risks, and facilitating resolutions. Updating and managing the programme budget while escalating any issues to the Delivery Manager.
•    Ensuring lessons learned and knowledge capture are embedded as part of standard practice.
•    Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all project team members.
 

Other Duties / Responsibilities:
•    Display a broad understanding of mechanical systems infrastructure, safety and commissioning requirements, commercial construction industry practices, construction contracts, and budget/schedule management.
•    Engage and communicate with stakeholders to ensure accurate timelines are maintained and tasks are delivered effectively.
•    Lead, motivate, and develop teams to drive project success and exceed expectations.
•    Plan and develop project concepts through to completion, defining scope and monitoring progress.
 

Minimum Qualifications/ Experience:
•    Educated to HNC in Mechanical Engineering (minimum requirement), preferably to degree level.
•    Preferably experienced in nuclear mechanical systems, installation, quality, and safety requirements.
•    Experience in managing nuclear installation standards, including safety-critical systems.
•    Professional qualification in Project Management such as APM PMQ or another recognised certification.
•    Track record of delivering projects in complex environments, from concept to handover, ideally within the nuclear energy sector or a similar regulated environment.

Additional Qualifications/ Experience:
•    Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of project management with working experience in engineering and/or construction activities.
•    Strong skills and experience in project management, financial management, change management, and facilitation.
•    Proven ability to engage multi-level stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and advisors.
•    Working knowledge of CDM Regulations.
•    Understanding of nuclear quality assurance and control.
•    Experience in the design, manufacturing, and installation of mechanical equipment (piped systems, HVAC, drainage, heating & cooling), including nuclear-grade and nuclear safety-critical plant & equipment.
