Role: Remedial Works Manager

Location: Bristol

Salary: up to £50k plus benefits

Our client is an independent air hygiene, water hygiene and fire damper safety compliance specialist.

They work throughout the UK in healthcare, high-security, and other public sector premises, as well as for independent businesses and as specialist service providers for TFMs (Total Facilities Managers).

Remedial Works Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Take full control of site management and service delivery for our Fire Damper Remedial Projects.* Ensure all works meet BS 9999, BESA DW145 Regulations & BM TRADA/FIRAS Standards.* Lead and manage teams of technicians & subcontractors, driving efficiency and quality.* Support Mechanical Technicians-including HR responsibilities.* Conduct site inspections, competency checks, and audits to ensure compliance.* Work with internal teams & clients to resolve project challenges.* Oversee risk assessments, method statements, and project documentation.* Champion health & safety across all projects.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in firestopping management or a similar role.* Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations.* Excellent leadership, project management, and organisational skills.* Effective communication and negotiation abilities.* Tech-savvy with Microsoft Office and relevant software.

Remedial Works Manager Qualifications & Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Passive Fire Protection (essential).* Accreditation from FIRAS, BM TRADA, or equivalent (desirable).* UK Driving Licence.* Ability to obtain DBS and security clearance.* Experience working in prisons or high-security sites (desirable).* Willingness to travel, stay overnight, and visit our Bristol Head Office (expenses covered).
