Key Responsibilities:

? Manage and oversee waste contracts, including a £30m Integrated Waste Management contract and £14m West of England contracts.? Act as the main contact between the council and Bristol Waste Company, resolving contract issues and improving service delivery.? Ensure compliance with waste regulations, health & safety standards, and environmental laws.? Monitor contract performance, develop performance management systems, and work with contractors to improve services.? Support waste strategy projects, including new recycling and waste reduction initiatives.? Work with internal and external stakeholders, including local authorities, DEFRA, and community groups.? Manage budgets and financial planning related to waste services.

Ideal Candidate:

?? Experience in contract management, waste management, or environmental services.?? Strong stakeholder management & negotiation skills.?? Knowledge of waste regulations, health & safety, and compliance.?? Project management experience in waste, recycling, or sustainability initiatives.?? Strong data analysis skills to interpret waste statistics and improve services.
