Role: Events Manager - Various / Gloucester Road, Horfield BS7 8PE

Overview

The post holder will oversee the management of private catering events to ensure the delivery of high quality service and products at each event. Responsible for managing the catering inbox, arranging and attending consultations, creating quotes and overseeing the management of the events on the day. The post holder will work closely with the Corporate Catering Manager to ensure all daily tasks are fulfilled to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive excellent client experiences by consistently delivering a high standard of product and customer service led by engaged and friendly staff.

  • Build a positive rapport with potential and existing clients arranging initial consultation calls or meetings, building tailored quotes and detailed and thorough briefs to deliver a high quality service of F&B.

  • Oversee the management of the staff on shift, creating a floor plan with 'aces in places’ to deliver a smooth running service and managing staff breaks effectively.

  • Responsible for managing the both sweet and savoury displays ensuring our celebration feast displays look bountiful, abundant and colourful whilst appropriately organised for efficient serving to guests.

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment before, during and after events.

  • Responsible for managing the catering inbox, excel sheets, workflow management systems and keeping all paperwork up to date.

  • Host weekly meetings and briefings for the senior management team to ensure strong communication of upcoming events.

  • Build rota’s for large events using both existing FED employees and ad hoc catering staff.

  • Represent Fed at meetings and catering bookings when required and responding to the needs of the business by covering other positions where necessary.

  • Work closely with the senior management team in all areas of work and carry out any other reasonable requests from the business owners in order to support the maintenance and growth of Fed.
