Finance Analyst - Contract (12 months) - Bristol (Hybrid) - £400 per day

We are working with a leading engineering organisation at the forefront of cutting-edge technology across multiple sectors, including energy, aerospace, marine, and defence. They are seeking a Finance Analyst to join their team on a 12-month contract, offering a day rate of £400.

Location: Bristol (Hybrid - 3 days on-site, 2 days remote)

Duration: 12 months

Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week, Monday to Friday)

Rate: £400 per day

Security Clearance: Standard BPSS (Export Control applies - ITAR restrictions considered)

Role Overview

As a Finance Analyst, you will support Manufacturing, Assembly & Test Operations by managing operating costs, fixed assets, and inventory. You will play a key role in financial reporting, budget forecasting, and business support, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply actuals reporting, including journal preparation, variance analysis, and scorecard updates
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations, audit reviews, and respond to queries from PWC, EFSC, and HQ
  • Support capital processes, including fixed asset audits and reconciliations
  • Manage inventory reporting, including movements, surplus, scrap, and WIP
  • Prepare budget and forecasting models, challenging inputs and delivering meaningful insights
  • Provide training and coaching on financial processes where necessary
  • Assist with process improvements and documentation

Key Requirements

  • CIMA qualified/part-qualified (or qualified by experience)
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience with SAP
  • Proven experience in operating costs, inventory, and fixed assets
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
