Job title: Commercial Account Broker
Salary: £40,000

Key responsibilities
- Generate documents for new customers, as well as any mid-term adjustments and renewal information.
- Record all customer details accurately and input them into the system promptly to maintain data integrity.
- Obtain renewal terms for customers, exploring alternative options before providing the optimal solution.
- Prepare renewal closings based on meeting minutes and ensure coverage is bound by the renewal date.
- Address insurer and customer queries regarding their policies. Confirm coverage with relevant insurers, process policies, and follow up on outstanding documentation as needed.
- Handle account queries and credit control matters, highlighting any concerns as necessary.
- Adhere to fundamental legal and regulatory policies related to internal policies and the insurance contract as required.Â
Experience and requirements
- Candidates should have previous experience handling commercial lines insurance business, ideally gained in a broking, MGA, or insurer environment.
- Knowledge of managing mid-market to corporate clients would be beneficial, although candidates from SME backgrounds who aspire to work with larger clients will also be considered.
- Previous experience in the insurance industry is essential, along with a track record of working towards targets within a regulated, measurable framework and achieving SLAs.
- Candidates should demonstrate risk awareness in handling customer information and prioritize a customer-centric approach, always aiming for the best possible outcome for our clients' customers.
- They should be diligent and process-driven, able to meet deadlines, task-focused, results-oriented, and proactive in assisting team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary, with confidence in building and maintaining rapport.
- Strong planning and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy, are also essential.
- Proficiency in MS Office is required, and experience with Acturis would be advantageous.

Qualifications
- Holding or working towards one of the Chartered Insurance Institute Qualifications, Cert CII, Dip CII or ACII.Â
- Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent, with an intermediate knowledge of the commercial insurance industry.
