Element Recruitment are proud to be working with a prestigious, centrally located business in the heart of Bristol as a Credit Control Manager. We are looking for an experienced Credit Control Manager, who will be responsible for maintaining a seamless workflow, meeting deadlines, and ensuring exceptional accuracy in all financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Manage and develop a team, setting objectives, monitoring performance, and ensuring alignment with the Income Team’s priorities and vision. Address escalated issues, complex queries, and complaints.
- Compliance and Policy: Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations. Communicate financial policies and debt laws to colleagues and customers.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay informed of best practices and recommend changes to policies and procedures. Implement improvement plans focusing on automation and efficiency.
- Data Management: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of debt-related data within systems, including timely reconciliations and corrections.
- Reporting and Analysis: Develop and manage debt reporting systems. Produce accurate and timely monthly debt reports, providing analysis and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Debt Collection: Utilize data analysis to improve debt collection processes and efficiency. Manage relationships with debt collection agencies and oversee the debt write-off procedure.
- Collaboration: Work across the institution to promote awareness and understanding of income management processes. Collaborate with the Income leadership team to manage resources and ensure compliance.
- Operational Support: Ensure the delivery of timely, professional, and sensitive communications with debtors. Provide cover during peak processing periods and support the overall objectives of the Income Team.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in credit control or debt management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical and data interpretation abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and debt laws.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and implement process improvements.
