What the role will involve
This role is expected to provide critical thinking support with strong assessment of risks, opportunities and actions needed to achieve business plans.Additionally, direct financial support for key programs, program management and other partners will be a significant responsibility.
The responsibilities of your role will include the following:
- Tasks are performed in conjunction with program managers and functional managers
- Generate financial reporting packages and provide counsel to program managers on variances
- Baseline development and maintenance, performance management and estimate at complete development and analysis
- Implement, monitor, report and analyse program budget and/or schedule
- Perform earned value management including implementation, maintenance, reporting and analysis
- Organise cost and/or schedule date for monthly program reviews
- Prepare and monitor funding plans labour and subcontract/material/ODC forecast plans
- Complete analyse date for monthly forecast review including orders, sales, operating income and cash
- Prepare ETC / EAC estimates from program staff input
- Participate in presentations and group discussions at internal and external financial/schedule meetings
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the organisation to maintain a positive and productive work environment
What youll bring
The role of Finance Business Partner requires the following experience and skills:
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACMA etc)
- Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office knowledge
- Extensive knowledge of hands-on application of Sage Accounting software or other ERP systems
- Experience with Hyperion SmartView and Cognos reporting tools
- Strong sense of initiative and independence, with an ability to navigate multiple priorities in a tight deadline, high volume environment
- Strong business partnering, interpersonal and leadership skills required
- Ability to communicate complex financial data and concepts to both financial and non-financial leaders
- Adept at using logic and reasoning to work through problems and analyse information
- Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organised
- Experience with earned value management
