Your new companyHays are working with a South West retail business to recruit a Finance Business Partner - a newly created role reporting into the Financial Controller. Your new roleThis is a great opportunity for someone to take a newly created role and make it their own. It's a broad role, acting as a main point of contact for key business areas while supporting the business with key reporting as well as some ad hoc projects. Key elements of the role will include:

  • Prepare management accounts with supporting analysis for the management team
  • Create and monitor KPIs for key business areas
  • Business partner with various site teams and internal departments to ensure cost drivers and analyse cost efficiencies that can be made.
  • Work to month-end deadlines whilst supporting year-end auditors
  • Streamline the current process and suggest new ways of working
  • Support the ongoing development of the finance team and mentor more junior members of staff.

What you'll need to succeedWe are looking for a qualified accountant, with both good technical and commercial experience. You should be comfortable creating management accounts but also be able to analyse financial information and present it to non-financial stakeholders. You should be able to work on your own initiative, be a team player and have good written communication.
