Finance Manager - Children's Social Care

Salary: £56,089.00

Location: Bristol with 2-4 days a month onsite

About the Role: The Finance Manager for Children's Social Care will focus on supporting placements, fostering, asylum teams, and associated transformation and capital projects. In this role, you will manage a team of Group Accountants, providing vital financial insights to ensure the effective delivery of children's social care services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee financial management and budgeting for placements, fostering, asylum teams, and related projects.
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting on the financial implications of new initiatives in children's social care.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to advise on challenging financial matters related to social care services.
  • Support the preparation of annual financial statements and work with the Business Partner to assist in Executive Meetings and committee responsibilities.

Ideal Candidate:

  • CCAB (or equivalent) qualified accountant.
  • Extensive experience in analysing, interpreting, and presenting financial data, particularly in the context of social care or public sector services.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing teams and improving financial practices within children's services.
