Newly created Finance Manager role, following multiple company acquisitions. Joining a dynamic and extremely fast-paced organisation, you will report to the Group Financial Controller and provide financial support and guidance to stakeholders across the business.
Core responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Line management of 4 direct reports
- Managing month-end timetable and ensuring deadlines are adhered to
- Review and analysis of month-end results
- Preparation of Group Management Accounts & Board pack, including commentary
- Presentation of Monthly results to Group Financial Controller for final review
- Ensuring operational reviews are taking place on a regular basis and attending to support, as appropriate to drive improvements in
- Group profitability and understanding of financial performance
- Policies and procedures
- Understanding and use of Group ERP system
- Review of Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate completion and resolution of all issues
- Preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Support the Management Accounts team with workload. A working knowledge of team processes will be expected and the ability to cover tasks where required
- Continued review and development of processes
- Understand group reporting and compliance requirements and support Group Accountant as necessary
ERP system support and maintenance
Profile
Professional experience:
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with 5-7 years' experience in a relevant role
- Strong experience in month-end accounts preparation, planning, budgeting & forecasting
- Experience in producing insightful business analysis
- Strong IT skills including advanced in MS Excel
- Experience in line management of qualified and part-qualified accountants
- Previous experience in stakeholder management to board level
- The ideal candidate would have experience in a multi-ledger organisation
- Knowledge of Power Query, SQL and BI would be advantageous
