Our client in Southwest England are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join their team and play a crucial role in their Finance operations.Position: Finance Manager Location: Southwest EnglandSalary: £56,089 per annumHours: Monday - Friday / 9am - 5pm Contract: PermanentKey Responsibilities
  • Identify, develop and support opportunities and initiatives to transform the delivery of financial services across the organisation.
  • Assist in the preparation of information for officers, elected members and the public in relation to financial issues.
  • Undertake development work in response to changing financialregimes, new government legislation & initiatives.
  • Lead on the co-ordination & production of the in-year monitoring reports, ensuring key monthly financial monitoring tasks assigned are achieved to a high quality.
  • Lead on the collation of detailed revenue budgets including growth & transformation cost/efficiency programmes for inclusion.
Job Requirements
  • Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
  • At least 2 years experience within a Finance Manager or equivalent.
  • CCAB (or equivalent) qualification with post qualification experience and evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Experience of planning, motivating & controlling the work of a diverse team of Finance staff dealing with complex accounting issues.
  • Have a working knowledge of business and teamworking applications, e.g. Microsoft 365 or equivalent.
