We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Branch/Regional Director to join our client, a leading chartered insurance broker. As the Regional Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving new business growth and managing the regional team to achieve targeted business objectives. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role is instrumental in leading the branch to reach its financial objectives and to mentor the team of executives.

Responsibilities
  • Achieve targeted business objectives and manage the retention and renewal of existing clients.
  • Provide support, coaching, and clear communication to the regional team, ensuring continuous improvement of branch operations and customer service.
  • Develop a full understanding of the business model to engage in discussions with prospects and new clients.
  • Explore new business opportunities and manage interactions with central claims team to showcase the business.
  • Lead client handover meetings and oversee the update of internal database with accurate information.
Qualifications
  • Significant experience in an intermediary environment managing new business activity, in General Insurance.
  • Proven track record of successful new business generation and management.
  • Effective communication skills at all levels, including engaging conversations with senior decision makers.
  • Appreciation of compliance regime operations and knowledge of financial management.
  • Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas and solutions.
Day-to-day
  • Manage and develop the regional team, nurturing a positive environment.
  • Work alongside prospecting to secure new business and lead pitch meetings to secure new mandates.
  • Assist the CEO with any other duties to support new business and maintain insurer and supplier relationships within the region.
