Senior Finance Business Partner

Your new companyBristol based businessYour new role The senior finance business partner for this business will be responsible for overseeing the management accounting function for the specific area. Key contact points will be through the finance function and the Operations function. The role will range from Bid reviews, reporting, budget forecasts and financial analysis. The role reports directly to the Senior Finance Business Partner.Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounts, budgets and quarterly forecast, along with commentaries & associated reporting.
• Pricing and bid support to Project Managers & Directors, including the overseeing the creation and integrity of bid models.
• Finance support and review of investment proposals.
• Business Partnering role:
  • Working with the Finance team and Operations Manager discussing and advising in tactical decision making.
  • Working with the wider finance team, ensuring Internal operating procedures are adhered to.
  • Supervision and line management of junior staff.
  • Ad hoc projects and support to the Senior Business Finance Partner.

What you'll need to succeed

• A qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) with post qualified experience.
• Business partnering experience.
• The role will require some travel.
• Well-developed commercial knowledge and business understanding.
• Strong technical accounting skills & knowledge.
• Excellent Excel skills.
• Broad understanding of tax and compliance matters.
• Strong people skills, comfortable in interacting with operational and financial staff and management at all levels of seniority.
• Well-developed communication and influencing skills.
• Collaborative approach.
• Attention to detail whilst still being able to work at a tactical level.
