Role Responsibilities- Managing a varied portfolio of corporate and individual clients, ensuring a high level of service and expert tax advice
- Assisting in tax compliance, including reviewing complex CT computations prepared by the general practice team
- Supporting the day-to-day management of the tax department, including workflow planning and staff development
- Mentoring junior team members, helping them develop their tax knowledge and skills
- Building strong relationships with clients, managing tax-only client relationships, and attending client meetings
- Staying up to date with UK tax legislation and industry trends, ensuring compliance and identifying tax planning opportunities
- Assisting in tax-related forensic assignments, including drafting reports for clients
- Working on owner-managed business tax planning, including R&D claims, share structuring, share-for-share exchanges, and corporate reorganisations

Candidate Requirements- ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualified (or equivalent experience)
- Strong corporate and personal tax knowledge, with experience in compliance and advisory work
- Experience in an assistant manager or manager role, with a track record of managing client relationships
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with clients and senior stakeholders confidently
- A proactive and strategic mindset, with a keen interest in developing client relationships and identifying opportunities
- Strong leadership skills, with experience in mentoring and training junior staff
- Proficiency in accounting and tax software, as well as Microsoft Office
- £45,000 to £50,000 per annum
