As a Senior/Principal Ecologist, you'll lead a range of exciting projects, using your expertise in field surveys, environmental assessments, and reporting to guide clients through planning and licensing requirements. You'll manage projects effectively, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery while communicating clear, actionable recommendations. Strong leadership, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role, along with experience in supervising teams and collaborating with other professionals. Additionally, you'll contribute to developing fee proposals and maintaining our high-quality standards.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Ecology or equivalent
  • CIEEM Membership
  • Expertise in Phase 1 habitat/UKHab assessments and protected species surveys
  • FISC Level 4 or higher
  • BNG assessment experience
  • Protected species licence (Level 2 bat licence preferred)
  • Proven experience in producing high-quality reports (desk studies, technical assessments, PEAs, EIAs)
