We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage the day-to-day operations of goods inwards and outwards, ensuring that orders are picked and dispatched in line with our service level expectations and to meet OTIF (On Time In Full) targets. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our logistics operations.
Day-to-day of the role:- Supervise the movement of goods inwards and outwards, ensuring efficient handling and storage.
- Pick and pack orders, ensuring they are ready for safe and secure collection and delivery.
- Implement and manage stock rotation using the FIFO (First In, First Out) system, particularly for age-sensitive food products.
- Stack goods into allocated locations for optimal storage and accessibility.
- Manage bookings for collections and deliveries, coordinating with hauliers and couriers.
- Assist the roasting and packing teams as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Review OTIF reports to maintain quality control and implement improvements.
- Conduct thorough checks on all incoming goods for any damages or discrepancies in quantities, and manage the stock control system accordingly.
- Manage inventory levels, setting minimum stock levels and order quantities based on customer demand.
- Maintain strong relationships with roasting, packing, and sales/customer service teams to achieve monthly OTIF targets.
- Conduct regular stock takes and update stock levels to ensure accuracy.
- Proven experience in logistics coordination or a similar role.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using logistics software or stock management systems.
- Knowledge of FIFO system and experience in handling age-sensitive products.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple teams and coordinate complex logistics tasks.
