Are you a reliable and trustworthy individual seeking a dynamic role with variety and opportunities for growth? Join a leading company in the Avonmouth area as a Mobile Plant Operator, working on innovative equipment and traveling to various sites across the UK.

The Role

This is an interesting and varied role that involves:

  • Operating and maintaining mobile processing equipment at multiple locations.
  • Working 10 days on / 4 days off or 7 days on / 3 days off, from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
  • Occasional overnight stays (all expenses covered).
  • Driving a company-provided van.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Install, operate, and maintain mobile processing plant.
  • Optimize machine settings to achieve desired results.
  • Provide support to Service Engineers on-site or in the workshop.
  • Supervise and train subcontractors and new employees after training completion.
  • Follow risk assessments and method statements before starting work.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Experienced in plant operations: Familiarity with mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Independent: Capable of working unsupervised, sometimes in remote locations.
  • Flexible: Adaptable to changing shifts and customer needs, including night shifts.
  • Customer-focused: Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust and respect with clients.
  • Motivated and organized: A proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.

Requirements:

  • Process industry experience (advantageous, but not essential).
  • Willingness to work away from home for up to 8 days (depending on shift).
  • A valid manual driving license (preferably clean).
  • Forklift and/or telehandler license (desirable but not required).

Working Hours & Pay

  • Shift patterns: 10 days on / 4 days off OR 7 days on / 3 days off (6 AM - 6 PM).
  • Overtime paid at 1.5x (Mon-Sat) and 2x (Sundays & Bank Holidays).
  • Competitive salary: Starting at £25k, increasing to £29k after achieving objectives.
  • OTE (On Target Earnings):
    • £48k for 10 days on / 4 days off.
    • £34k for 7 days on / 3 days off.
