Academics are partnering with a welcoming and supportive school in Bristol, which is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Behaviour Mentor to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis starting ASAP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting children with mild to moderate SEN, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, Global Delay, communication and social interaction challenges, and mild behaviour issues.
  • Working with small groups or on a 1:1 basis to facilitate progress in learning.
  • Providing a calm, supportive, and interactive approach to keep children motivated during lessons.
  • Celebrating achievements to help build confidence and encourage positive behaviour.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • A degree in Psychology, Criminology, Sociology or similar at a 2:1 or above.
  • Good knowledge of SEN
  • Previous experience as a behaviour mentor or SEN Teaching Assistant would be an advantage
  • Calm, patient and resilient approach
  • Work well in a team and on own initiative
