Biodiversity Net Gain, GIS and Data Specialist

We are pleased to announce that we are working on an exciting opportunity for a Biodiversity specialist to join a leading consultancy in the Bristol area! This is a fantastic opportunity where you'd get the opportunity to support the delivery and development of services focused on biodiversity net gain and ecological reporting. They are a supportive team who work on a range of exciting projects across the South-West. This is predominantly a desk-based role with limited requirements to conduct surveys on site.

Responsibilities for this role include;

  • Mapping, calculating, and reporting Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG).
  • Preparing management plans and net gain strategies.
  • Analysing and presenting survey and desktop ecological data.

Requirements include:

  • Strong ability to use software such as QGIS and LandApp to present complex data.
  • Experience in applying Biodiversity Net Gain best practices.
  • Understanding of policy, legislation, and best practice standards in ecology.
