Branch Director (Insurance Broker)

Location: Bristol, United Kingdom

Salary: £60,000-£75,000 (with flexibility for exceptional candidates along with bonus and share options)

We are currently representing a leading insurance broker in their search for a dynamic and results-driven Branch Director to join their team.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the growth of a branch office, with a strong focus on client interactions and business growth. You will have the opportunity to manage and collaborate with a dedicated team, inheriting some existing business while actively seeking opportunities to expand the client base. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving branch income, profit and loss, managing performance, streamlining processes, and developing effective pipelines with sales staff and team leaders for service teams.

Responsibilities:

Act as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring outstanding service delivery and fostering long-term relationships

Identifying potential areas for growth and implementing strategies to maximise revenue

Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan, both for individual performance and the overall branch

Analyse profit and loss, establishing targets and implementing measures to enhance profitability

Manage team performance, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the achievement of targets

Working with regional and operational staff, streamline operational processes with, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices

Proactively identify new business opportunities, promoting the value proposition of the organisation's insurance services

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop effective pipelines and strategies that drive business growth

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and competitors to maintain a competitive edge

Requirements:

Proven experience in the insurance industry, specifically within a brokerage setting and sales background

Strong track record in client relationship management, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Demonstrated ability to drive business growth, meet targets, and achieve profitability

Solid understanding of profit and loss analysis, performance metrics, and process optimisation

A strategic thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset

Proactive and self-motivated, capable of working independently and as part of a team

Ability to effectively lead and inspire a team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment

Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
