CLASS 1 DRIVER

WORKING 5 DAYS OUT OF 7 - WILL INCLUDE WEEKEND WORK

START TIMES BETWEEN 10:00 AND 15:00

PAYING £18.70 - £27.70 AN HOUR

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Severn Beach, Bristol.

Day to Day Duties

Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to:

• Store deliveries - One to four drops per shift delivering palletised goods
• Trunking could be required
• Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
• Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed

Essential Skills

As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:

• Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence
• Have a minimum of 12 months experience driving CE vehicles
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
• Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
• Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
• Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
• Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
• Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience carrying out multi-drop deliveries will be beneficial
• Store delivery experience

Training

• Driver's Assessment and driver knowledge test will have to be completed
• After successful Assessment, there will be a paid induction.
