12 Month Contract - MEP Revit Technician - Outside IR35

A leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy, known for delivering innovative and sustainable solutions across the built environment, is looking for an MEP Revit Technician to join their team on a contract basis. This contract falls outside IR35, offering the ideal opportunity for a contractor looking for flexibility and independence while working on prestigious projects.

You will be responsible for producing detailed MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) models and drawings using Revit, while collaborating closely with engineers, designers, and project stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage 3D MEP Revit models for complex and sustainable mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to integrate MEP systems into the overall project design, ensuring seamless coordination.
  • Conduct clash detection and resolve design coordination issues using Revit and Navisworks.
  • Contribute to the delivery of sustainable design solutions, in line with the consultancy's focus on environmentally conscious projects.
  • Ensure adherence to BIM execution plans and industry-leading standards for project delivery.
  • Maintain and update Revit libraries, ensuring that models are current, organized, and accurate.
  • Work closely with the project team to meet deadlines and project goals, communicating effectively to ensure project milestones are achieved.

What We're Looking For:
  • Experience:
    • At least 2 years of experience as an MEP Revit Technician, preferably within the building services or construction sectors.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of MEP systems and how they integrate into large, complex building designs.
    • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to meet project deadlines and coordinate effectively with the project team.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with the team.
  • Desirable:
    • Experience with Dynamo scripting for Revit automation is a plus.
    • Familiarity with relevant standards, such as ASHRAE, CIBSE, or similar sustainability codes.
