Our client, a Building Contractor, is looking to recruit a home-based Desktop Surveyor within their insurance claim repairs division of the business. You will be working on a number of insurance company contracts, reviewing reports, information, and photos of damage to properties (provided by field-based teams) and will be preparing scopes of work for the reinstatement repairs following an insurance claim.
Although this is a home-based role, ideally you will be located within a commutable distance of the office so being based in the South West area, Bath, Bristol, Taunton, Yeovil or surrounding areas would be ideal.
As a Desktop Surveyor you will be:
Reviewing surveys, reports, photos and videos to put together estimates/costs
Preparing a scope of works
Updating the company system and client portals throughout
Dealing with variation orders and approving as necessary
Liaising with policyholder, loss adjuster, insurance company throughout
Close down jobs on client portals
What is required for this Desktop Surveyor /Estimator role:
You will need to have surveying / scoping experience
You will need to be a confident IT/PC user (ideally with experience using Blueprint, Xactimate, Symbility or other similar estimating software).
Package details
Salary in region of £38k-£45k, depending on experience
