As one of our Estimators, you'll be part of a multidisciplinary team, making a tangible, sustainable impact on the world around us. You'll work closely with the Senior Estimators helping to ensure accurate reporting, benchmarking, and analysis of our clients’ building costs.

This role will be based either in Bristol, Manchester or Birmingham, hybrid working is included.

Ideally, candidate should have some experience on large projects.

Understanding of the Cost drivers that define a project and ability to convert engineering data into meaningful cost drivers.

Understanding of all aspects of direct and indirect costs and how to put together an estimate.

Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present cost work concisely.

Ability to challenge colleagues in a constructive manner to achieve positive outcomes.

Ability to interact effectively with diverse colleagues in different disciplines involved in our clients’ programmes 

Familiarity of government initiatives and policies.

Responsibilities:

Ability to work independently to produce estimates at various stages of a project using various methods of measurements and estimating software.

Aid in the development of benchmarking database and reporting process to provide timely and accurate advice to inform decision making.

Support implementation of accurate Cost measurement processes including progress and performance measurement.

Provide professional advice on cost to stakeholders (including but not limited to Procurement Specialists, Cost / Contract Management Personnel, Estimators and Project Controls)and for our clients.

Ensure continuous development and improvement of Client’s policies, procedures, and resources for all cost and related controls services.

Work closely with the Scheduling Team to ensure integration and alignment of cost models and schedules.

Requirements:

Working towards or Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), ACostE, ICES or similar relevant professional association.

Relevant Degree or a combination of experience and other qualifications.

Quantity surveying skills and comprehensive understanding of the construction industry.
