Job Description: They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated FPGA Engineer to join a growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing FPGA solutions for a variety of applications. You will work closely with our hardware and software teams to deliver high-performance, reliable, and scalable products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement FPGA-based solutions for various applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and architecture.
  • Develop and optimise HDL code (VHDL/Verilog) for FPGA devices.
  • Perform simulation, synthesis, and verification of FPGA designs.
  • Conduct hardware testing, debugging, and validation.
  • Optimise FPGA designs for performance, power, and area.
  • Create and maintain design documentation and specifications.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in FPGA technology.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in FPGA design and development.
  • Proficiency in HDL languages such as VHDL and/or Verilog.
  • Experience with FPGA development tools such as Xilinx Vivado, Altera Quartus, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of digital design principles and hardware architectures.
  • Experience with simulation and verification tools and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with high-speed interfaces, memory interfaces, and embedded processors.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with high-level synthesis (HLS) tools.
  • Knowledge of signal processing algorithms and implementation.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Tcl, or Perl.
  • Experience with board-level debugging tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyser's).
  • Understanding of system-level design and integration.
