The Role

This is a brand new and exciting opportunity to join a reputable business who have seen vast growth over the last 12 months with their key core products. You will be working on an enterprise-scale product with over a million lines of code - largely working on the backend. It is an internal bespoke system which has been built and developed by a third party. In the long-term, this product will become yours to fully own and manage. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take technical ownership without the line management and keep hands on nitty gritty with the code - ensuring that the product is both maintainable and scalable. You will be working in a small, family feel team of 5 developers - alongside the development manager who has line management responsibility to the other developers. You will report into the development manager, however, have full ownership of the product and technical decision making. The current solution is complex - and they are looking for the right person that has the ability to take the solution forward. Modernise parts of it and also look at how it integrates with other systems etc. Technical lead experience is essential - and your previous experience will sit somewhere between a Technical lead and you will have some knowledge / exposure to architecture. The codebase is in good condition - you will be responsible with the team to get the solution to a cloud-based SaaS solution and drive the product forward!
