Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with an international player in the nuclear energy market recognised for its innovative solutions and technology for designing, building, maintaining, and advancing the global nuclear sector to recruit a Lead Scheduler for its Nuclear Construction business unit's growth into the UK markets, based out of their Avonmouth office..

The Lead Scheduler will assist in development of some of the most complex construction projects across Europe and comes with a base salary starting up to 62,000, minimum of 9% pension, 25 days annual leave and a wealth of other benefits.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Project Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Manage master project schedules for all New Build projects, including a new manufacturing facility, Hinkley Point C, and Sizewell C, integrating workshop and site plans.
  • Use schedules to drive reporting: milestones, adherence monitoring, progress, Earned Value management, cost forecasting, resource demand, and productivity analysis.
  • Develop schedules from bid stage to delivery, ensuring alignment with customer and company standards.
  • Upskill scheduling capabilities across the business, providing coaching to scheduling teams at Hinkley Point C and other project control staff.
  • Drive improvements by implementing the roadmap, refining schedules, and generating deeper insights through project controls reporting and analysis.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • A highly capable P6 user, with eh abioity to manipulate data and derive reports from the software
  • Experience producing EVM reports and analysing.
  • Mentorship/leadership experience.
