Morson Talent is partnering with one of their leading clients in the Bristol area to recruit their next Machinist.

3 on 4 off Nights working every other Saturday and over a 17 week rotation

Rates: 25.74

Duration: 6 Months

Period on Core Days Training before going onto Nights

17 weeks working 7pm-7am half hour paid lunch Sunday Monday Tuesday and every other Saturday then 17 weeks working 7-7 Weds Thurs Fri and every other Saturday

To operate as a multi-skilled, flexible worker to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency. Tasks will be undertaken and worked through the use of:

• Machining of parts aircraft parts to drawing specification
• Checking of parts using conventional equipment including height gauges
• Micrometres, vernier, callipers to meet required specification
• Working to engineering drawings
• Manufacturing to defined high tolerances
• Manually or mechanically move components to ensure the effective flow of production within
the cell
• Deburring for onward safe handling only

Key Responsibilities

1. Ensure parts are produced on a ‘right first time’ basis
2. Ensure that any calibrated equipment used is within date
3. Responsible for the timely clearance of work phases using the SAP system
4. Responsible for highlighting any non-conformance to the Process Team Leader
5. Adhering to the requirements of the GKNAF Quality Procedures
6. Accountable for Health & Safety requirements under Section 7 of the HASAWA 1974
7. To hold first party inspection approval (M02 status is subject to obtaining A stamp approval)
8. Record all downtime on OEE sheets
9. Management of machine stoppages with maintenance and escalation as required
10. Completion of Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM)
11. Management of 5S within area ie. tooling, work set station and general area
12. Employee Involvement (EI)
13. Export Control Requirements
Champion ‘Export Control’ compliance activities, ensuring you and where applicable, members of your team, adhere to the site ‘Technology Control Plan (TCP)’, guaranteeing compliance with Export Control Regulations, controls, training and systems
