Our Client

Autograph Recruitment is pleased to be partnered with a well-established, dynamic, food manufacturing business located in the Avonmouth area. Our client distributes products across the UK, including to some of the nation’s largest and most recognisable retail stores and supermarkets. Their focus is to achieve sustainable growth through product innovation. To support this, we are looking for a skilled and reliable Engineer, preferably with an electrical bias, to join their team in Avonmouth.

Key Responsibilities of Multi-Skilled Engineer:

  • Carrying out both planned preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery, equipment, and site facilities.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing faults across electrical and mechanical systems. 
  • Minimising downtime and enhancing machine reliability to ensure the seamless operation of food production lines.
  • Overseeing the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment as needed.
  • Monitoring equipment performance and providing insights for continuous process improvements.
  • Conducting thorough inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety standards, particularly food safety and BRC.
  • Setting a strong example by promoting and enforcing best practices, including general controls, housekeeping, health and safety, and engineering standards.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled or Maintenance Engineer within food manufacturing or a similar production organisation.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to maintaining and improving production. Approach all tasks with professionalism, enthusiasm, and attention to detail.
  • Strong self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously, and thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • In-depth understanding of food industry standards, including compliance with food safety regulations, ideally BRC.
